A process designed to save you money and keep you in control.

Although literature paints family mediation as the “peaceful alternative” to litigation – peace and healing have very little to do with a successful separation process. Mediation’s true purpose is to get your family to a place where you can reach a baseline level of agreement about critical family issues – so you can meet the legal necessities of separating, move on, and continue with your life.

Outside of that, the most significant selling point of mediation is that it can save you tens of thousands of dollars in navigating the traditional legal separation process, keeps the decision-making power in your hands, and gets you to a resolution faster than the traditional legal process.

Litigation can be costly, time-consuming, and adversarial – while Mediation is a process designed to allow parties to remain in control of their outcomes and move forward with their lives quickly.

The Neutral Role

Dylan emphasizes his role as a neutral facilitator, ensuring a level playing field for both parties. His process is built on transparency and trust, allowing families to engage openly and collaboratively without fear of bias or judgment.

Save you time and money:

Court processes can be lengthy and expensive (a traditional contested divorce costs on average $18,250/party, a 5-day trial $30,876 on average in Ontario). Mediation streamlines the process.

Get to decisions quickly:

Mediation is both a process of coming to decisions as much as finding mutually beneficial solutions.

Fit your family:

The best interest of the children is at the heart of all decisions made during mediation.

I am here to support you with any questions as you navigate the mediation process. For those who need continued guidance, I also offer post-mediation support to help ensure agreements are successfully implemented.
